Great product photography doesn’t just show what something looks like, it shows why someone needs to have it. The difference between a product image that scrolls past and one that stops a buyer cold is craft: lighting that reveals shape and texture, a composition that communicates value, and technical execution that holds up at any size.
But when you try to shoot your own product, it’s flat looking. You can see your reflection in the shiny parts. The chrome doesn’t look white, the matte areas lack color, your background is distracting, there’s that one thread sticking out that you have no idea how to remove in post-production, and your reds look orange because you shot it under a warm light source. Ugh.
Or if you’re in the culinary field, you know shooting food can be challenging. The dish’s textures, colors, structure and design work together to entice the foodie into your establishment. Challenging dishes have a short window to shoot before they look unpalatable, while others need side-lighting to really pop out the flaky texture.
We got you.
Shiny objects like cars, chrome parts, watches, glassware…they need a broad, diffuse light source to give them shape. On the other hand, fabrics and non-reflective objects often benefit from direct light to show texture and structure.

We generally shoot products in two workflows:
1. We bring our lights, gear and laptop to you and your product. We work together on-site to get the right angles and lighting to showcase your product features and benefits. Shooting tethered to the laptop allows you to preview and select your favorites to be retouched and delivered within days. Can’t decide right there or need to discuss with other stakeholders? No problem…we’ll post up a secured online gallery from which you and your team can select final images.
2. You send us your product to shoot on our own. We discuss a shot list, image requirements and any brand guidelines you have. This method is very popular with e-commerce and white background product shots that don’t need much stylizing or complicated lighting. But we’re happy to construct a whole still life set and shoot on our own if you’re located too far away or unavailable to meet in-person.
Utilizing techniques like focus stacking, tilt/shift, light painting, focused diffused lighting, and cross-polarization, along with special gear like macro lenses for close up work and motion rigs for automotive motion shots, we can do nearly anything. We’d love to hear about your next project.
