Lighting and photographing interior and exterior architectural spaces can be a massive challenge.
Before clients come to us, they usually try to DIY it and end up with:
– Lens distortions create leaning walls
– Shadow and highlight areas end up without detail
– Distracting reflections in windows
– Attempting to shoot at sunset either gets a nice sky or a nice building, but not both in the same image
The human eye and the camera don’t see light the same. We have a much greater capacity to see highlight and shadow detail, color gamut, sharpness and color balance in the same scene. Our brain corrects for distortions and overlooks reflections.
Using specialty equipment and techniques like tilt/shift lenses, levels, polarizing elements, exposure bracketing, custom white balancing for various light sources and more, we can photograph your space the way it looks in person.
We’ve worked with commercial real estate, retail, casinos, restaurants, lounges/bars, luxury real estate, landscape designers, housing builders, architects, and private and government facilities. From a single shot for a magazine ad, to utilizing lifts and water trucks for highly polished exterior images, we can make it happen.

Every space is unique, and necessitates a customized approach:
– Do we need to rent a lift and water truck for an evening office building shoot?
– Will this be an aerial shoot from a helicopter of raw land for a developer?
– Are you a realtor or mom and pop restaurant who simply need a couple interior images?
– Maybe you’re an architect looking to finalize your visual portfolio from your last two projects?
– Are these images for a magazine spread, needing to be composed for a specific layout and cover image?
We’d love to discuss your project, your goals, your budget and how we can get you what you need.

We’re currently not offering drone photography, but will in the near future. However, we don’t have any problem shooting from helicopters or aircraft, provided all necessary permitting and safety protocols are in place.
Occasionally, we get asked to do timelapse videos of landscape installs, retails interiors or such. Reach out to us with your project idea and we can see if it’s a fit for the equipment we have on hand, or if it would necessitate renting supplementary gear to meet your goals.
We love crazy creative ideas and the challenges that come with them. We’re light nerds, creatives with a scientific bent, so figuring out how to get the shot is a fun challenge.
